Water Right Change Applications
JBWD applied to make changes to three of its water rights (think of these as permits to use water). The goal is to improve our water supply for the community.
Here's a breakdown of what each application is asking for:
Application CG1-000457CL: We want to add two wells (Well Nos. 6 and 7) to our "well field" where we can draw water from. We're also clarifying that the water will be used for municipal (public) water supply, and that the area where we'll be supplying water is the same as our approved service area by the Washington State Department of Health. We've also corrected some minor errors in the property numbers for existing and proposed well locations (specifically for Well Nos. 4 and 7).
Application CG1-28177: Similar to the first application, we're looking to add more wells to our systems "well field". We're also making sure it's clear that the water is for public use and that the service area matches what the Department of Health has approved. Again, we've fixed some property number errors for Well Nos. 4 and 7.
Application CG1-GWC3754: This application specifically requests to add an additional point of withdrawal (Well No. 7) to our well field. We're also confirming that the water will be used for public supply within our approved service area. And, just like the others, we've corrected property number errors for Well Nos. 4 and 7.
In short, these applications are about ensuring JBWD has enough water to serve its residents, making sure our water use is properly defined, and correcting any administrative details.
