JBWD General Manager Job Posting
The Juniper Beach Water District (JBWD), is currently hiring a General Manager (GM) to serve as the District's Chief Administrative Officer. This critical leadership role is essential for the District's continued successful operation and management under the policy direction of the Board of Commissioners. The General Manager ensures the provision of high-quality, cost-effective, and dependable water service to the community.
The General Manager's broad scope of responsibilities, which necessitates this dedicated executive position, includes leading day-to-day operations, overseeing financial affairs (such as budgeting and purchasing), ensuring strict compliance with all state and federal regulations (DOH, DOE, EPA), and serving as the principal liaison for customer service and public relations.
The Board of Commissioners formally moved to proceed with the hiring process on September 18th, 2025, targeting a start date of January 2, 2026. A motion was made at the September 18th, 2025 Board of Commissioners meeting to proceed with the procedures and process necessary to hire a general manager beginning January 2, 2026. The Secretary of the Board of Commissioners for JBWD will be responsible for outlining the process and carrying out the activities of the timeline established by the Board.
At its October 16, 2025 Board meeting, the Commissioners voted to formally adopt the General Manager Hiring Timeline and Procedures. Additionally the Commissioners voted to establish a salary range and officially authorize the public search process to begin in late October 2025. The Board voted to approve the Public Announcement for the Part Time General Manager position and approved the General Manager Application Form.
