JBWD is undertaking an upgrade project for all water meters within its customer service area. The new water meter registers will improve the water system integrity, leak detection capabilities, accuracy of water usage, water conservation, and customer service.
JBWD is in the final stages of consolidating the water permit from the Lands Hill exempt public water withdrawal into Juniper Beach Water District's existing Water Rights. This has included coordination with the Department of Ecology (DOE), and State and Local Health Departments. JBWD has found that projects such as these are a long and complicated process. We experienced delays and unexpected hurdles throughout the project.
