WATER USE CONSERVATION GUIDELINES & CONSERVATION TIPS
To conserve water use, the Board of Commissioners is asking that customers comply with the voluntary outdoor water use guidelines. These are offered for the purpose of water conservation and the utilizing of our resources wisely. JBWD desires to stabilize water usage and avoid extreme peaks of usage during the summer when we experience warm summer temperatures and lower precipitation.
Beginning July 1st, 2024, and continuing through September 9th, 2024:
Please only water your outdoor plants and/or lawns between the hours of 6:00 a.m.- 12 Noon. This is when plants efficiently utilize the water being applied.
Please do not water lawns or gardens on Saturdays or Sundays.
(**See exception below)
Please follow the following water schedule:
Those with even numbered addresses may water outdoors on even days.
Those with odd numbered addresses may water outdoors on odd days.
**For those customers who are only weekend residents:
**Those weekend residents with even numbered addresses may water outdoors on Saturday.
**Those weekend residents with odd numbered addresses may water outdoors on Sunday.
Please do not wash autos or trucks on Saturdays or Sundays.
Boats may still be washed after use.
To conserve water, please always use hoses with shut-off nozzles when using water outdoors.
Thank you for helping us conserve water.
